Set within the quiet agricultural landscape of rural Maharashtra, this nursery office project came to us at a transitional moment—midway through the slab casting—inviting a sensitive redesign of both its architecture and interiors. Our approach was grounded in the site’s rural context, local materiality, and the client’s need for a workspace that is both functional and deeply connected to its surroundings.

The design celebrates exposed brickwork, crafted in a dynamic textured pattern that lends visual depth while anchoring the building to its earthy setting. Large wooden-framed windows open generously to the fields beyond, drawing in natural light and framing changing views throughout the day. Inside, the use of warm teakwood furniture, woven cane chairs, and rough kotah flooring creates an atmosphere that is tactile, honest, and welcoming.

Central to the interior is a custom-built work desk system that supports collaborative activity while maintaining visual openness. Semi-transparent partitions subtly divide spaces without compromising daylight flow.

Overall, the project transforms a simple rural office into a calm, climate-responsive, and contextually rooted workspace, reflecting the client’s engagement with the land and the everyday rhythms of nursery life.
